Mind Blowing Eucharistic Miracles with Fr. Gregory Pine

I love Fr. Gregory Pine! This episode of Pints With Aquinas feels like you're simply listening to two friends talking--and about some pretty cool stuff! Matt Fradd and Fr. Pine discuss a few historic Eucharistic miracles in which, on separate occasions, the host physically bled and after testing, was revealed to be real human flesh, specifically human heart tissue. Fr. Pine states that his interest in Eucharistic miracles came with the canonization of Saint Carlo Acutis who famously made a website recording as many miracles of the Eucharist as possible. And an important note to add that was brought up is the fact that these extraordinary events are not a way for God to prove his power and awesomeness to us, but instead they help us to grow in faith. They are gifts that, if we choose to believe, can help us to better understand God and his love for us. The episode leads into a discussion about recognizing our own prideful attitudes. As a society, we quickly get irritated by others who act in a way that inconveniences us. More often than not, we jump to negative conclusions about another person either because we want to perceive ourselves as superior or maybe because we genuinely do perceive ourselves as superior to that person. This episode was such a great reminder to act and think with humility. Fr. Pine offers the advice to simply give it ALL to God. When we feel envious or unforgiving, offer that envy and offer that unforgiveness to God. We are not perfect and we cannot offer a perfect sacrifice, but Jesus already did for us. God just wants US, so we should give every part of ourselves to him, even the ugly. Again, a super enjoyable and spiritually fruitful episode!
